Photos + experience from The Hollywood Horror Show in North Carolina 10/11/24

So I went to -technically- my first haunt ever on the 11th. My 'first time' was while I was in psychosis, so I don't really consider it xD, but anyway. It was really fun, took around 40 minutes to get through the trail itself. I was really happy to see a Pumpkinhead prop within one of the walls! You never see him :D My only issue with it is an issue that pretty much any haunt or Halloween event will have, which is flashing lights! I am very sensitive to flashing lights, so it bothered me quite a bit, but I'll live. I do wish there were more zombies, though, lol. All the props used within the walk-through portion were very well done, at least in the dark lighting. The scare actors seemed to be having a lot of fun and didn't really go out of character much, but they did at some points, which is normal I'd say. I will be going back sometime this coming week to buy some souvenirs & to also inquire about -perhaps- learning some special FX makeup. I think it would be very fun. The museum was under renovations while we were there, so we were unable to go. Will go next time definitely. However, we were able to do the 'Last Ride' thing, which was really fun. Basically they put you inside a coffin, in complete darkness, with a camera pointing at your face. And then the coffin gets moved around & sound effects are used to make it feel like you are being transported & buried. My only critique is that I wish they had a realistic sound effect of dirt being shoveled onto the coffin lid. Anyway, here are some pictures that I took, as well as some that my mother took of me & my boyfriend.

Oh, and here is a video of me in the 'Last Ride': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D96-a4F_aDU&feature=youtu.be

Thanks for reading, if you did. Ciao
